Ingeborg Kirstina Jesperson Allen

Ingeborg Allen along with Nancy Jane Putman (see previous post) were two of my ancestor (Joseph Stewart Allen’s) other spouses. I just did a quick search on Ingeborg and it appears that she died of Malaria near Overton, NV about an hour from where I live.

“This cemetery with its mounds of sand and rocks provides a stark testament to the courage of the early Pioneers of the Moapa Valley”. St Joseph settlement was established in 1864 by LDS Missionaries sent by LDS President Brigham Young to homestead here in the “Muddy Valley” Disease and heat claimed many. St Joseph was abandoned in 1969. Later the area was resettled .
