Marv (Dad) is heading to Richfield, Utah for the funeral of his good friend Walter Bentley Jr. who passed away 25 Aug 2003 in Provo.

Walter Bentley Jr.

Walter Darling Bentley Jr., 74, Richfield, passed away Aug. 25, 2003, in Provo. He was born May 5, 1929, in Quanah, Texas, to Walter Darling and Blanche Collier Bentley. He married Anne Pugh in 1948; they were later divorced. He married Judy Adams May 7, 1976, in Covina, Calif. The marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS temple.

Note: Susannah was Charlotte Elizabeth Mellor Roper’s future Mother-in-law whom she was cared for by after arriving in the Salt Lake Valley as a member of the Edward Martin (Handcart) Company. The Ropers had immigrated to the Salt Lake Valley 8 1/2 year before during the summer of 1848.
