In so much that I’m giving a report here, I’ll give my name and age. Robert W. Jones, born 31 October 1895 in Vernal the fourth child of Mary Ann Bodily and James Naylor Jones. Mary Ann Bodily’s grandfather Robert Bodily was born in England and he married Jane Pittam. Because he married out of the royal family he was cut out of the estate. I don’t know whether that help to move him from there. He took up a proposition in South Africa and he moved and shipped down there. After they had gone her father Mr. Pittam wrote them a letter and encouraged them to stay by the Church England. When they went to Africa the Mormon Elders eventually came and converted them to the Mormon Church. (Robert corrects himself Robert Bodily Sr. was his Great Grandfather). My great grandfather made wagons for the government and he was on a sort of government proposition. A large tract of land.
